ANNALISA BURGOS is a former anchor with KITV-4. She has 20 years of experience in television in nearly a dozen cities across the US and Asia, most recently Manila. While in the Philippines, she was anchor/managing editor at the ABS-CBN News Channel (broadcast internationally under The Filipino Channel) and led U.S. and global news coverage for the morning newscasts. She also hosted and produced a popular “Food Diplomacy” segment, where she talked politics and culture with diplomats from across the world. Prior to that, she was an anchor/correspondent for Channel NewsAsia, an international news channel based in Singapore, and hosted "What's Cooking,” a weekly food and travel show.
CHARLES DEGALA is a seasoned businessman in the area of financial services where he managed Global One, Summit Lending of Hawai’i and Pacific Coast Capital. He also has worked in executive positions for various hospitality-related companies, including Atlantis Adventures & Navatek, Koolau Golf Club - Koolau Ballrooms, Sea Life Park and several hotels such as Ala Moana and the Royal Hawaiian. He had a brief stint as the Hawaiian ambassador/entertainer at the Norwegian Cruise Lines and Pride of America. He is a mainstay at Tihati Productions as a singer and emcee and is currently hosting the Royal Hawaiian Luau. When not engaged in tourism-related activities, he is the sales manager for LUBRCO.
BENNETTE MISALUCHA is a Hawaii state senator from Hawaii's 16th district. She has navigated corporate, government and non-profit communities for more than twenty years in Hawai‘i, bringing robust work experience to the practice. Bennette spent more than sixteen years in banking where she fulfilled a variety of responsibilities. Early in her career, Bennette spent seven years in the media world as a reporter, writer and news producer, both locally (KHON Channel 2 News) and in the Philippines. Bennette’s work has earned her many recognition such as the “State Mother of the Year” for American Mothers Inc. (2007), one of top “Ten Women Volunteers in Hawai‘i“ by Pacific Business News ( 2008) and was named “Woman of the Year” by the Filipino Women’s Civic Club (2011). She is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i-Mānoa and an honors graduate of the Bank Administration Institute’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management (based at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
ALLAN ALVAREZ is a realtor/businessman and producer/host of a daily radio show featuring Filipino-American music, news and more which airs on 1270AM in Honolulu and is heard statewide. His show is the recipient of the 2015 Robert Henry Memorial Award for Radio recognizing outstanding community reporting in radio by the San Francisco-based Philippine American Press Club. He espouses all good things Filipino through music, entertainment, culture and the arts. He is the past chair of the PCCCH, the outreach arm of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu. Among Allan’s productions were the KKK: Kalayaan, Kultura, Kulinarya, the 3rd Filipino Food Festival in 2016 and the Filipino Cultural Show at the 50th State Fair (2017, 2018).
